Unsinkable?

HMS Prince of Wales anchored at Fortress Singapore. Hailed as the unsinkable flagship of Force Z, she was ironically sunk by Japanese bombers at the opening moments of the Pacific War on December 10, 1941.

The Prince of Wales and Repulse made history as the world's first capital ships to be sunk at open seas by air power.

USS Enterprise

The "Big E" seen here as a victim of Japanese kamikaze attacks on 11 April, 1945. AKA "Lucky E", she survived the attack, of course!

It is of great shame that this most decorated warship of WW2 did not made it to the museum.

This is my first ever attempt at digital coloring; its completion drove me into a frenzy to take on more projects. >:)
